NEW DEDICATION!

OK.. so I haven't been on this blog in FOREVER.. Obviously because this time logging in I found out I have 2 "followers" and I'm excited about them! Tecia you know you're one of my Fav's and Amy - I think we've talked more post mission than we ever did during- I love it!. I'm more excited than ever about the house... I called and had my nephews come over yesterday (I had the day off- unlike some of my co-workers..) to help finish filling in the holes in the wood flooring. I haven't completely given up on my brother helping finish the house.. he's just moved on to a new project of putting a new roof on my parents house. My sister Myrna came over too and thank goodness she did! She put the boys to work. She knew they could put the rest of the floor in because they had done her entry way. (they're 14-16) So, they got to work on the pantry/wash room. James, Jordan, Lance and Sterling did a fantastic job! Jordan and Sterling did the floor in the pantry while James & Lance went and helped Kent on the roof next door. There wasn't enough room for 4 boys to do the floor together once they'd finished filling in holes. They had to leave at 6:00, but they got all but the last 2 rows done.. Dad helped me finish that up after they left. So the flooring is now installed! (minus a couple rows in the hall closet..- but that's an easy fix too.) Now, this weekend I'll be renting a sander and will be sanding the floors and then putting the sealer on it.. I'm not staining them.. just keeping them "natural". While the boys were working on the floor, I was painting the bathroom ceiling above the tub and then I painted the door. It's amazing how different things look with a new coat of paint! The house is almost done- I'll add pictures when I get home tonight. I'll probably start painting the 2 bedroom doors tonight so that is done too. I'll have to see if I can get my dad to help me with installing the office door. The two other doors that were installed had to be cut down so I'll need help with that part. Thank goodness for deadlines! I volunteered a long time ago to have a Christmas party for my "sisters" at my house and I have to have the house done by the 1st week in December for the party. Besides the obvious fact that I've wanted to move in for a LONG time. Plus, starting in January I'll be having a monthly Enrichment activity of scrap booking at my house so it would be nice to be settled in the house before that starts too. So, things are looking good for moving in by the end of the month! I can hardly wait!
